Diego Fried is a film and commercial director based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His work combines an intimate, realistic approach with a strong visual sensibility, exploring human relationships, emotional tension, and contemporary narratives.

He studied film directing at Universidad del Cine (FUC), and further trained in acting with Augusto Fernández and in playwriting with Mauricio Kartun. He was selected for the Berlin Talent Campus, and his early short films received recognition at international festivals such as Rotterdam, Toulouse, and New York.

Before directing, he worked as an editor and assistant director, an experience that shaped his narrative approach and his precision in rhythm and performance.

"Sangrita" — His debut feature, selected for the New Directors Competition at BAFICI, where it received the Metropolitan Fund Award, and screened in the New Directors section at the São Paulo International Film Festival.

"Vino" — Official selection at the Moscow International Film Festival and the Kerala International Film Festival. Winner of Best Actress at the Padies Film Festival (France).

"The Silent Party" — Premiered at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, with further screenings at festivals including Huelva and Trieste. It received multiple nominations at the Sur Awards. Jazmín Stuart won Best Actress at Cinefantasy Festival (Brazil) and Västerås Film Festival (Sweden). The film was also highlighted among the best Argentine films of the year by critics and specialized media.

In parallel, Fried has built a strong career in advertising, directing campaigns for global brands such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Gillette, HSBC, Sony, and LG, collaborating with international agencies including McCann, VMLY&R, Grey, BBDO, MullenLowe, FCB, Leo Burnett Chicago, and Havas.
